Dalahäst

DALAHAST-rod-51eac2083ef78  The Dala horse (Swedish Dalahäst) is a traditional carved wooden horse which symbolizes the landscape of Dalarna in Sweden. The wooden horses have been made since the 17th century and they come in all sizes and are carved primarily in Nusnäs near Mora. Most horses are red and are often hand-painted. In Nusnäs there is a museum where amongst other things, one can see how the horses are made.
